He provides gourmet dinner parties at residences throughout Greater Boston and Nantucket for groups of 6-160 via several menu formats: A la Carte, Prix Fixe and Bistro.


Lawrence is a Graduate of Newbury College and Boston University School of Hospitality. Lawrence worked at fine restaurants in Boston and Nantucket for eleven years before starting Chef du Jour in 1999. Some restaurants of note are 21 Federal where he worked with Chef Seth Raynor of the Boarding House in Nantucket. Lawrence was Garde Manger Chef at Le Marquis de Lafalette with Chef Ken Oringer of Clio in Boston. He also spent three years at Maison Robert in Boston's old City Hall as Chef de Poisson. Lawrence is pleased to share some of his talents and tricks of the trade to a class "hungry" for knowledge and fun!
