Wine BeginningsAugust 14, 2009 at 7:00 pm-8:30 pm Location: Gordon's Fine Wine & Culinary Center Instructor: Lindsay S. Cohen, Marketing & Events Director Cost: $25 per person Don’t know much about wine? Not sure where to begin? This one-session class will teach you how to assess like a pro while sampling major varietals and the countries that they come from in an entertaining, interactive setting. You’ll taste six major varietals of the wine world: Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Pinot Noir from the largest wine-producing countries. By assessing the wines through sight, smell, and taste, you’ll learn to identify basic elements of a wine including body, tannin, acidity, sweetness, and other flavor characteristics. You'll see that this base of knowledge will go a long way in terms of being more confident in any social or business setting with food and wine.
We are pleased to announce that Cabot is now the official cheese sponsor for our Beer 101/Wine Beginnings classes. You’ll be able to enjoy these delicious cheeses during the seminar.
